Absolute Power

Absolute Power by Jamie Anderson

Absolute Power is just Shield of The Jotunn 2. They're remarkably different stories, but still, they both possess the same mood, of some solidly written character beats for Constance in a pile of utterly boring drivel. It's not good, and honestly, it's so boring it's difficult to describe how it's not good. None of the cast give...bad performances. No, not at all. There just is enough material here for a quite good classic who two parter, in forty five minutes this plot could feel adequately wrapped up in my book. Maybe it would make Florrie a bit less, but still. There isn't enough plot for two hours, and the script shows.
Shield of The Jotunn as a matter of fact feels like a more polished production, and Absolute Power would be hitting this pairing of 6/Constance in the death throes if it wasn't for the next story being so rather magnificent. I enjoyed this story while it was running, but well, I forgot most of it the day after. I had to look over the script to write this review! I usually remember these audios pretty dang well, for me they're has vivid as the television, sometimes more so, but this one feels like too much classic who corridor stuff than really should ever be allowed: 5//10
