Starring Elizabeth Olsen as The Twenty Second Doctor and Daisy Ridley as Piper

Previously On Doctor Who...

The Doctor is travelling with her companion Piper currently. Piper will probably get an introductory story at some point, but as of now, she's a woman from California with a penchant for art and is slightly superficial.

Chapter One

The TARDIS landed on a pastel planet, shades of pink and blue, textured with lines of shimmering white.

Piper got out of the TARDIS. She didn't ever think she'd get used to it- The worlds the Doctor took her too always astonished her, but especially recently they had been stunning. The Doctor had picked up quickly that Piper liked a pretty landscape, and even on some very dangerous journeys as of recent, Piper had been stunned by the scenery the Doctor had shown her.

The Doctor scrambled out of the TARDIS, in some sort of flowy robe- you couldn't really even tell the shape of it, the way that it almost floated but stayed in well- the shape of clothes - like some kind of magic carpet, situated with a necktie. The Doctor placed a pair of Elton John like glasses on her brow as she surveyed the terrain.

"Hmm. Piper, any thoughts?" The Doctor slurred, slightly, enthused.

"Oh, I wish I had my canvas," Piper muttered, starstruck.

"Well, hopefully they'll have something in town," The Doctor said, moving strangely down the hill, beckoning for Piper to come after her-

Piper adjusted her pack and followed.

"Do you know what this place is called, Doctor?" Piper asked.

"The TARDIS databanks had some abstract symbols- I think they need a tuning sometime, the databanks have been ever so erratic lately. Whatever this place is, I think we can figure out fairly quickly once we get into town-"

The town was idyllic, a simple forms of buildings situated in the bright landscape, made of earthy materials that almost looked like they didn't belong- the stone and brick looked even like the kind on earth, but the roofs were thatched with purple and turquoise hay.

A villager, wrapped in a scarlet robe, was fetching orange water from the river, and didn't seem to notice the Doctor and Piper as they descended down the hill.

"Hi," The Doctor called, "Miss, I'm the Doctor, and this is Piper."

"Mm-hm?" The Villager said, almost not registering.

"We were wondering what this planet was called, and, well, if you had any art shops?" The Doctor asked. "We are a travelling band of- um, two random Artists."

"MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM-" The Woman began to scream.

"Well." The Doctor said, turning to Piper. "That's certainly not normal."

Chapter Two

"Um, what? What'd you say?" Piper sputtered.

"MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM-"

"Um, thank you, I suppose," Piper responded awkwardly. "Doctor, what is this?"

"You know, for the first time in a long bit, I have no idea. Oh, I like being surprised. It happens ever so rarely." The Doctor muttered. "Well, Okay, it happens somewhat frequently, but still- odd."

The Doctor began intently examining the woman's shoes.

"MM!" She exclaimed.

"Oh, sorry." The Doctor said. "You just have nice shoes."

The Woman nodded. "M." She agreed.

"So they understand us." Piper said.

The Doctor narrowed her eyes. "So, no, it's not just their language. I have ocassionally met civilizations with a monosyllabic vocabulary..." The Doctor snapped her fingers. "Aha, got it," she said, and began to slap on her legs. "Drumroll please!" She said, pattering on her legs and jumping up. "It's some form of infection."

Piper bit her lip. "Are we in danger then?"

The Doctor turned and began to walk into the center of the small town. "Well, certainly."

Echoes of M could be heard in the distance.

* * *

Mmmm. Mm. MMMMMmmmmmMmMm M. Mm.

Mmmmm mmmmmm mMmmMm mmm Mmmmmm. "MmmMmmM." Piper mmmmm mmmm.

"MmmmmMMm." The Doctor agreed.

They were already beginning to be infected. It didn't take much time, and it was remarkably transmittable. The creepiest thing is the more it progressed, the more Piper felt she could understand the Doctor. Like it increased their connection. Piper liked that- she sort of began to feel how the Doctor felt- but it was also deeply wrong. Piper knew that if they didn't move quickly-
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

"MMMMM!" The Doctor Mmmmmmmmmm-ed. "MMmm MM! Argh! Piper, it's progressing quicker than I had thought. The Virus- or infection or whatever, it has a telepathic level to it. A psychic progression of feelings, transmitted through this dissonant noise."

Piper nodded. "We need to MMMMMMmove forward. Get as many peoples' attention as possible."

"That's the infection talking." The Doctor said. "No, we need to find the source. And as it seems to be getting stronger as we walk, I'm betting it's in the center of MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM-"

The Doctor and Piper walked slowly into MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Chapter Three

"Mh, Mm!" The Doctor exclaimed. She was trying to say Oh My, because it was certainly an Oh My situation.
The woman that had led them into town - the first person they met, was ahead, in front of a crowd.

She seemed to be leading some kind of prayer to a giant wooden block - like a preschoolers block - with the letter M embroidered onto it.

The psychic connection let them in- Although it was sheer nonsense what was coming out of this woman - Her name was Mmmm, the nonsense what was coming out of Mmmm's mouth, you could still feel her feelings on the subject deeply.

Although she said MMMMMMMMMMMMMM, she had a deep hate for whatever she spoke of.

They weren't even in the center of town yet, although they were close. a purple and blue fog had descended onto the pastel plains, and you couldn't see far ahead- as a matter of fact, Piper only knew it was the woman before from the shape of her dress and stylized hood. She was young, far too young, Piper thought, to be leading whatever Church Sermon like thing this was. It was a fire and brimstone like thing - the woman was speaking out against the M.

Piper tried to speak to the Doctor. "Moctor, mt's mhe moman mrom mefore!" Ugh. Hopefully that got across, but Piper couldn't tell.

The Doctor was in her element. She walked forward, and began to, rather embarassingly, mind you, convey their questions through body language.
The woman nodded to the Doctor's questions but Piper couldn't keep up. She could only feel the feelings coming from the Doctor and Mmmm. The Doctor was steely, and Mmmm was afraid.

As they MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

"MMMMMM MM MMMMMMMMMM M MM MM???" Mmmm MMM MMMmmMM.

It was getting stronger, and Piper knew that-MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

The Doctor grabbed Piper's hand and led her to MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmm

"MMMMMMMM" The Doctor proclaimed.

Ahead of them, the source of the MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM resided.

Chapter Four

Piper found the sight of it ridiculous- A giant microwave. A building tall. Microwaving some kind of meal. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM went the Microwave, and Piper, although she wanted to laugh, was in a strange way, terrified of whatever this was.

The Doctor looked at Piper, and Piper looked at Mmmm. Mmmm made it clear to them, her fear was intense...when the microwave finished cooking, it was the end of the world.

"I am sorry for the deception," Mmmm rasped out, having not talked normally in a long, long time. "But we needed help - and the only way to get it was to activate the psychic interface - and scramble the vocabulary of our people, and anyone who grew close - as a warning of the Microwaves' ominous power, and a plea for help to the right people."

"You can talk!!?!" Piper exclaimed.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot myself." Mmmm said."MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMM!"

"Okay, enough of that. This whole thing - a psychic forboding, a warning, that's clever." The Doctor said. "Using the Microwave's own noise against it, as a cry for help, that's... that's brilliant. If only slightly incredibly irritating, I am so sick of the letter M at this point."

The Microwave called out. "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...MOCTOR!"

"That's you." Piper tried to point out helpfully.

"Yes! I'm here! What do you want!!??" The Doctor called. "How can you speak; what are you?"

"YOU ONCE KNEW MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEE!" The Microwave called. "You tied me to a Dalek! You threw me into a sun! And I melted away through the realities-  growing in size and power! Until I landed here, and now, I shall destroy this pitiful planet and every other I shall come across with my Microwave radiation! I shall heat this planet into oblivion!"

"Ryan Sinclair's Microwave!" The Doctor exclaimed. "You're Ryan Sinclair's Microwave that I used to stop that Dalek mutant!" She paused for a moment. "...That's so stupid!"

"Enough talk, Doctor: I shall take my revenge on you and this measly planet!" The Microwave yelled.

"Throwing you into the star, you must have fused with the Dalek intelligence and attempted an emergency temporal shift, landing here and building yourself a new form! Well, I won't let you massacre these people!"

"And what will you do to stop me, pitiful mortal Doctor!"

The Doctor unplugged the microwave from it's wall socket.

Epilogue:

"You know, Doctor, this whole adventure was....something." Piper said. "I mean, it was obviously ridiculous, but I saw into your head, I got to feel your thoughts... like a sort of echo in the wind, a distant emotion from you. It was actually...rather something."

"Yes. Good you didn't see much more of it or your head would have melted faster than you can say M."
The Doctor said. "But I got to see you too, and you're really quite something, you know. I can't believe I forgot to give this to you until now, but..." The Doctor reached into her pocket and grasped Piper's hands. She dropped something into them, and without a word, walked back into the TARDIS. "Come along, Piper!" She called. Piper opened her hands to find a golden key lying inside them. Absolutely amazing.

Piper swung the door closed, and grinned...she was along for the ride of her lifetime.

The TARDIS vibrated, shaking like a microwave oven for a moment, before dematerializing into time, space, and MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Although the Microwave was gone, the people of the planet seemed to have left the psychic M generator on. Hopefully it won't MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
